Tesco has said the head of its British division Richard Brasher is to step down in July, after the retailer's market share sank to a seven-year low.

Tesco has said the head of its British division Richard Brasher is to step down in July, after the retailer's market share sank to a seven-year low.

Tesco chief executive Philip Clarke is to take over the British division.

Brasher oversaw Tesco's recent Big Price Drop campaign which resulted in its missing earnings estimates and losing share.
