Tesco is to pay retailer Aldi €150,000 in settlement of Aldi’s legal action over the infringement of its trademarks in a Tesco price advertising campaign.

Tesco is to pay retailer Aldi €150,000 in settlement of Aldi’s legal action over the infringement of its trademarks in a Tesco price advertising campaign.

Tesco has undertaken not to compare the prices of completely different products, and to refer to the Irish source of any fresh food products. It has also undertaken not to use Aldi's trademarks in comparative advertising, or to compare product prices without using quality assurance marks.
