Telegraph moves on shift work

Management at the Belfast Telegraph is in talks with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) regarding proposals to change shift patterns at the paper.

Management at the Belfast Telegraph is in talks with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) regarding proposals to change shift patterns at the paper.

This involves introducing Sunday working for all editorial staff.

The largest union meeting for many years took place to discuss the proposals, which were strongly opposed. Management is in separate talks with the Unite trade union, which represents production and clerical staff, about voluntary redundancies.
