More than 760 juveniles have been convicted of drugs offences over a five-year period, writes John Burke.

New figures reveal that 6 per cent of those convicted of drugs possession between 2004 and 2008 were minors.

Most of those convicted were male, according to the figures which were produced by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) for the Department of Justice.
