Fujitsu Laboratories is to invest in a research programme with the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI) based in NUI Galway.

At the Fujitsu announcement were Prof Stefan Decker, director of DERI; Richard Bruton, Minister for Enterprise; Regina Moran, chief executive of Fujitsu Ireland; Tatsuo Tomita, president of Fujitsu Laboratories; and Chihiro Atsumi, Japanese ambassador to Ireland.

Fujitsu invests in Galway

Fujitsu Laboratories is to invest in a research programme with the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI) based in NUI Galway.

The research will be conducted in the area of networked knowledge, identifying new models and commercial opportunities for exploiting the vast quantities of static and dynamic data on the internet.
