Irish microelectronic start-ups have attracted more than €68 million in venture capital funding in the past three years.

Irish microelectronic start-ups have attracted more than €68 million in venture capital funding in the past three years - or 15 per cent of all venture capital investment in Ireland during that time.

According to the Microelectronic Industry Design Association of Ireland (Midas Ireland), the sector will create 1,300 jobs in the next three years. Roughly 250 positions are available at present.
