It's no secret: the market for web developers and software engineers in Ireland is candidate-led, and has been for some time. There is stiff competition for skilled workers, who remain scarce, according to employers and recruitment firms.

This can complicate things for companies that are hiring but, for people with the right expertise and qualifications, there's an abundance of opportunity and - in certain circumstances - an ability more or less to "name a price".
