A Labour TD has made a complaint to the European Commission about ''anti-competitive practices in the beef industry.

Michael McNamara made his move after being involved in a Dail row with Minister of State for Agriculture Tom Hayes over the steep fall in beef prices for farmers.

He has complained that there are only two boats licensed to export live cattle to Libya due to overly restrictive state regulations, even though there is a market...
