Taxing times for pension plans

The four-year plan has serious implications for the pensions of employees and self-employed

Personal private pension contributions may become a thing of the past if National the Recovery Plan’s proposals are implemented to restrict tax relief for personal pension contributions for employees and self-employed.

The total annual gross cost of pension tax and PRSI/health levy reliefs for the private sector is estimated to be €2.75 billion.
