Taxi union calls in gardai over identity theft by bogus driver

The National Taxi Drivers Union (NTDU) has asked the Garda to investigate a man who the union says has used the identities of at least four taxi drivers to lease taxis and pick up fares.

The National Taxi Drivers Union (NTDU) has asked the Garda to investigate a man who the union says has used the identities of at least four taxi drivers to lease taxis and pick up fares.

The NTDU's vice-president, Vinnie Kearns, said the union had received more than 15 calls about the man, who has been masquerading as a taxi driver for at least six months.
