Taxi fares could rise by 50 cent if taxi regulator Ger Deering agrees to a request for a fuel surcharge from the National Taxi Drivers Union (NTDU) this week.
Taxi fares could rise by 50 cent if taxi regulator Ger Deering agrees to a request for a fuel surcharge from the National Taxi Drivers Union (NTDU) this week.
The NTDU is seeking a fuel surcharge to offset the cost of petrol, which is set to rise after the price of oil reached record levels last week.
‘‘I will be writing to Deering on Tuesday and requesting a meeting,” said Tommy Gorman, head of the NTDU....
