A new higher rate of employee PRSI for middle-to-high income earners could be considered, according to the government's tax strategy group. The group's report, drawn up ahead of last December's budget and just published, gives an indication of some of the options expected to be considered ahead of the 2013 Budget, as it seeks to bolster the social insurance fund.
