The Revenue Commissioners is set to share data on dividends, capital gains and account balances with its counterparts across Europe as part of a major clampdown on tax evasion.

The European Commission has stepped its fight against tax evasion up a gear, and has proposed to extend the automatic exchange of information between EU tax authorities.
