Taravale Foods, a family-owned Kildare food producer, has sought the protection of the High Court and entered into examinership as the company looks for new investment to save up to 50 jobs.

John McStay of McStay Luby was appointed as interim examiner by the High Court last week as the company looks to restructure on foot of total debts in the region of €4.4 million. Bank of Ireland is supporting the petition and helping the company...
