Taoiseach Enda Kenny has named Frances Fitzgerald as the new Justice Minister to replace Alan Shatter.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has named Frances Fitzgerald as the new Justice Minister to replace Alan Shatter.
Fitzgerald is currently the Minister for Children and Youth affairs. Fine Gael parliamentary chairman Charlie Flanagan will replace her in this role.
Fitzgerald, who is originally from Co. Limerick, has been TD for the Dublin Mid-West constituency since 2011. A former social worker, she was first elected to Dáil Éireann at the 1992 general election.
