Taoiseach has "no bottom line" for potential EU deal

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has told the Dáil that there is “no bottom line” on the size of gain targeted in the government’s talks with its European partners to reduce Irish banking debt.

Those talks are set to begin on 9th July, he said, adding that the “best result is the top line”, without specifying an amount. Nevertheless, he warned that any EU summit deal won’t have an appreciable impact...
