Discussions between Irish banks and the troika about warehousing their loss-making tracker mortgages in off-balance sheet vehicles are continuing.
Discussions between Irish banks and the troika about warehousing their loss-making tracker mortgages in off-balance sheet vehicles are focused on finding a way to fund the assets outside of a viable institution. The banks, understood to include AIB and Permanent TSB, have been in talks with the troika since the last quarterly review in January, and are seeking comfort from the ECB and the other bailout parties on a funding solution.
