Talk on deal must not run into the sand

Clear thinking is needed about the potential deal with the troika over our historic banking debts and a restructuring of the financial sector. Whatever the government's success in relation to getting the €3.1 billion payment due at the end of March postponed, the big issue is the overall deal, which - it would appear - will require some months more of negotiation.
