Taking a new direction in social media services

Directory enquiries firm 11890 is using its skills to interpret large amounts of online data for its clients, writes Emmet Ryan.

Directory enquiries business 11890 is launching a new social media tracking service in an effort to counter declining revenues in its core business.

The idea for the new service, called Cloud90 came about in November 2012. The service tracks social media messages and relays them to a dashboard at the customer's offices. Cloud90 was soft-launched at the start of last month, with ten firms currently signed up.
