Take the high road

Bariloche is famed for its mountainous splendour, and it's a vista to treasure - even when you're going downhill at breakneck speed, writes Jeremy Wood.

Bariloche is set in a beautiful location on the shore of Lake Nahuel, just over the mountains from Chile and with some of the best ski resorts in Argentina.

It is the main city in western Patagonia and the hub for trips north, south and west.
