System Dynamics, the software firm that last week bought software company Systima, intends to make one more significant acquisition before the end of the year.

Tony McGuire, chief executive of System Dynamics, said the company had a ‘‘clear set of targets in mind’’ for further expansion and indicated that its next deal could be in the professional services sector, an area System Dynamics recently moved into with the creation of a new business unit....
