The New York sale of the summer will offer furniture and furnishings from the historic interior of the Four Seasons Restaurant. On my first assignment in NYC, I was taken to lunch there and was literally struck dumb. Were those real Picassos, lining a corridor? They were. They called it Picasso Alley. All I wanted to do was lie on the floor and soak up the architecture that signalled the future.
