Fusion Nutraceuticals is gearing up to launch a next-generation sugar alternative that, it maintains, could revolutionise the market for artificial sweeteners worldwide.

The Dublin-based firm already sells a sucralose-based sweetener range, SucraPlus, to a host of retailers, including Spar, Aldi and Asda.

However, ac cording to Shane Delaney, co-founder and chief executive of Fusion, its new - as yet unnamed - product will be closer in taste and texture to sugar than any substitute currently...
