Summit watch: Juncker to drop Eurogroup role
It's day two of the European Union Summit, where 25 of 27 leaders have signed the fiscal stability treaty.
**1138** Luxembourg prime minister Jean Claude Juncker said he would not continue his role as president of the Eurogroup after his term ends in summer because of time constraints.
Any new Eurogroup chief would need to fulfil the role as their main job, he said. The Eurogroup comprises eurozone finance ministers.
**1132:** EU president Herman Van Rompuy says finance ministers are to assess the size of the firepower of the euro zone rescue fund.
