The departure of Sullivan is the latest in a series of changes at Eircom.

Eircom chairman Ned Sullivan is to step down at the end of this year, the company has said. An email from the company said that Sullivan is stepping down for personal reasons.

Sullivan, who was appointed non-executive chairman of Eircom in November 2008, replacing Danon, has served on the boards of many major Irish companies, including some of its most troubled.
