Succession fraught in family firms

Succession is now a more fraught process, with more than one-third of the next generation uncertain about taking over the family business, a new survey has found.

The next generation are far less likely to inherit or indeed want to take on the family business than ever before, according to the PwC Family Business survey, the first post-recession snapshot of family firms worldwide including 14 in Ireland.
