Subaru shows off electric R1e

Subaru showed its R1e electric car at the Geneva Motor Show.

Subaru showed its R1e electric car at the Geneva Motor Show.

Designed as a 2+2 city car, the runabout has a range of 80km and a top speed to 100km/h. The car was developed in conjunction with the Tokyo Electric Power company.

The latest technology lithium ion batteries are used, allowing an 80 per cent recharge in just 15 minutes.
