Struck-off solicitor hit with €150k bill

The Law Society has been given the go-ahead to pay €150,000 to a Cork firm from the account of a former solicitor.

The Law Society has been given the go-ahead to pay €150,000 to a Cork firm from the account of a former solicitor.

The Law Society asked the High Court to order payment of €153,611 plus interest from the client account of former solicitor Colm Murphy to Ballincollig Holdings.

Murphy was struck off the roll in May 2009, but is challenging the decision.
