On September 27, de Vere's will host a sale that underlines the strength and diversity of 20th and 21st century Irish art. Sharing top billing are two major works by the two artists who bookend the modern Irish art market, Jack B Yeats and Louis le Brocquy.

Both pictures have estimates of €100,000 to €150,000, a conservative sum, given that a Yeats gouache and watercolour fetched €215,000 at Garret O'Connor's last week.
