Strong demand for Bank of Ireland debt issue as it raises €750m

Bank of Ireland has raised €750 million of 5 year unsecured funding through a euro fixed rate transaction, it said in a statement this afternoon.

Bank of Ireland has raised €750 million of 5 year unsecured funding through a euro fixed rate transaction, it said in a statement this afternoon.

The debt issue was oversubscribed at €3.75 billion and sold to 240 investors, with 97% of the trade sold to investors outside of Ireland. The yield on the five year senior unsecured trade is 3.337%.
