Storm Cinemas Group buys Belfast cineplex

The Storm Cinemas group, which operates sites in Limerick, Portlaoise and Cavan, has bought the biggest cinema in Belfast for an estimated €7million.

The Storm Cinemas group, which operates sites in Limerick, Portlaoise and Cavan, has bought the biggest cinema in Belfast for an estimated €7million.

The group took over the 12-screen Warner Village cinema, which opened five years ago at the Odyssey complex near the city’s Waterfront Hall, in a deal that was concluded late last week.

Although trading under the Warner Village brand, the cinema was previously operated by Vue Cinemas.
