Still lots of room for graduates

Despite the economic woes, graduates still have room to manoeuvre in Ireland, writes Gareth Naughton.

There is a growing assumption that Ireland's graduates face two choices when they finish their studies - leave the country or join the dole queue - but their options are not necessarily this limited.

While companies are not recruiting at boom-time levels, some have maintained graduate programmes and many more are eyeing the graduate market on a less formal basis for fresh talent.
