Despite tough economic trading conditions, Stena Line’s Irish Sea routes have recorded strong first quarter volume figures.
From January to March 2012, compared with the same period last year and excluding its new Belfast to Liverpool route, passenger volumes rose 10 per cent and freight rose 17 per cent.
Counting the new route it had volume increases of 15 per cent in passengers, 13 per cent in cars and 106 per cent in freight respectively.
