The government's latest business loan scheme is providing just €2 million per year in guaranteed public support to help small businesses bridge the funding gap and preserve jobs.

The Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation's Microenterprise Loan Fund Scheme, which became active last week, has committed €10 million in fresh funds to firms with fewer than 10 people and turnover of less than €2 million per year.
