Egyptian authorities declared a state of alert early yesterday morning following attacks by protesters on Israeli embassy buildings in Cairo. A group of roughly 30 protesters tore down walls surrounding the embassy and entered its offices last Friday night. Hundreds of people had been involved in violent protests at the embassy throughout the day.
