The Minister has announced a welcome reduction in the rates of stamp duty payable by first-time buyers of second-hand homes. Residential property:

Such properties with a value of €317,500 or less will be exempt from stamp duty, with reduced rates applying to properties valued between €317,501 and €635,000.
