This is a really delicious old-fashioned recipe that is an ideal lunchtime or supper dish to be enjoyed year-round. I have used Jameson whiskey, but I suppose any whiskey you have around the house will do. However, if you’re serving it on St Patrick’s Day, just remember it has to be Irish.
