Spend on monthly phone plans dropping, says ComReg

The average amount spent by Irish people on their mobile phone plans is decreasing, according to the latest ComReg report on the electronic communications market.

The average amount spent by Irish people on their mobile phone plans is decreasing, according to the latest ComReg report on the electronic communications market.

The average revenue per user in the first three months of the year was €26 per month, down from €28 in the previous quarter.

The drop is due in part to cheaper mobile plans and the increased popularity of bundled products, ComReg said.
