Anthony Lane, the film critic with the New Yorker magazine, once intimated that the only movies worth seeing were either trashy movies that offered simple short-term thrills (eg, Mission Impossible) or classic movies that offered a lifetime of enjoyment and reflection (eg, Citizen Kane).
