Spanish 10-year bonds extended their decline, falling for a third day and pushing the yield on the securities to 6 per cent.
The rate climbed 22 basis points, or 0.22 percentage point, to 6.00 per cent as of 3:01pm London time, the highest level since September 7th. It has since slipped back slightly and was at 5.98 per cent, according to Bloomberg information.
By contrast, Ireland’s 10-year bond yield fell very slightly and remains at 5.26 per cent.
