Spain hasn’t submitted an additional bailout request, European Union Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn said.

Spain hasn’t submitted an additional bailout request, European Union Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn said.

The European Commission stands ready to act on any such request, he told reporters in Madrid today.

Rehn said Spain’s bank recapitalization program should be completed before the question of what to do with left-over funds is considered.
