South Dublin site sales drive up land prices

A return to steady growth is expected as the price per acre of development land in the capital soars, writes Donal Buckley

A site on Cuffe Street, Dublin 2, is for sale for €1.5 million, working out at €12 million per acre.

With projected demand for both offices and housing underpinning the market, a number of Dublin sites have been among the first new properties to come to the market this year. Priced at levels that would appeal to both small and medium-sized developers, the lots range from around €2.3 million per acre for a residential site in Foxrock up to €12 million per acre for an office development site near St Stephen’s Green in the city...
