Sony has launched what it claims to be the world's lightest laptop.

Sony has launched what it claims to be the world's lightest laptop.

The Vaio X weighs a feather-light 0.65kg (less than half the weight of a MacBook Air) and is just over one centimetre thick.

While the machine's single-core 2Ghz Atom processor is better than the power on offer with the current crop of 8-inch netbooks, it still represents a hefty compromise on the 2.2Ghz (and over) dual-core chips available on heavier laptops that cost...
