Sony focus on PR and sampling in €1.5m PlayStation campaign

PlayStation and culture aren't words that general ly go together, but Sony is using a €1.5 million promotions budget to target its latest product from the range at some distinctly adult and cultivated audiences.

The latest PlayStation the slickly designed PSP, which costs €255 is an “entertainment device'‘, rather than a games machine. It plays music and films, displays photographs and browses the internet.

A one-off art exhibition has been arranged to mark its launch, with artists Seamus Nolan, Seamus Hanrahan and Michael Warren all commissioned to create work in response to the product.
