Social media smarts go a very long way

A Dublin firm has made a global impression by making the most of Facebook's offering, writes Elaine O'Regan.

A family-owned wool shop in Dublin was one of just three companies from around the world applauded at a recent Facebook conference in the US for its "amazing" use of the social networking site to boost business.

At the event in New York last Tuesday, Facebook's director of small business, Dan Levy, described his experience meeting "and learning from" Walkinstown's Springwools as a privilege.
