Galway will play host to snooker's version of the Uefa Champions League this week, staging a major international tournament that is set to give the local economy a boost.

Galway will play host to snooker's version of the Uefa Champions League this week, staging a major international tournament that is set to give the local economy a significant boost.

From Wednesday to Sunday, 24 of the biggest names in snooker, including world number one Mark Selby, will take part in the Players Tour Championship (PTC) finals at the Bailey Allen Hall at NUI Galway.
