Smyths Toys, a family-owned toy retailer, is planning to make a major push into the British toy market over the next two years, as the group seeks to expand its operations beyond Ireland.

The Galway-based company has identified a number of potential sites across England, and now intends to roll out a number of ‘‘toy superstores’’, according to reliable sources.
