Smithwick Tribunal to ask Ingram to testify

The Smithwick Tribunal is expected to call former British Army intelligence officer Martin Ingram to give evidence, The Sunday Business Post has learned.

The tribunal contacted Ingram’s solicitor last week, but was told that any request for Ingram to attend the tribunal would need approval from the British government.

Ingram, a former member of the British Army’s Force Research Unit, is banned from giving evidence unless the British government gives him clearance.
