SMEs receive more credit with most opting for overdrafts - survey

The number of small and medium companies asking for and receiving bank credit increased to the highest levels in four years, according to a new survey.

The number of small and medium companies asking for and receiving bank credit increased to the highest levels in four years, according to a new survey.

The latest ISME Quarterly Bank Watch Survey, found that 44 per cent of companies who applied for funding in the last three months were refused credit by their banks, an improvement on the 52 per cent in the previous quarter.
