Irish retail gold investors are fleeing the market due to fears that the price of the precious metal could fall further, as the US economy revives and the Federal Reserve cuts back on quantitative easing.

Gold dealers are reporting that small holders of gold have been selling into the falling market as US economic indicators have ticked upwards.
